We offer different design solutions through a variety of templates, or the creation of a custom template based on clients specific needs and preferences.

Our past and present collaborations have primarily been with large Open Access publishers, but we are open to work with anyone who finds our services useful. PanType Expertise

PanType specialises in setting Document Managment Systems (DMS) that are mostly, but not exclusively, based on XML-technologies. DMS primarily comprises data processing and conversion, metadata management, indexing and setting data processing workflows. Our services cover these DMS components but are also aimed at broadening an overall offer of Digitization.

Data Processing/Typesetting

Typesetting and Proofing in Word, LaTeX or InDesign have until recently been the only Desktop Publishing (DTP) workflows. Today, they can still be a starting point of any digitization process.

Data Conversion

Conversion of various electronic formats to today's fittest digital format - XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is the backbone of Digitization. At PanType new XML-technologies for data conversion are being developed and existing ones are constantly being improved. Our XML-related workflows are based on NLM-compliant XML.

Bibliography and metadata processing

Main characteristics of digital data are availability and interconnection with other digital resources. These features are enabled by metadata processing. In addition, scientific publishing today is inconceivable without thorough analysis of bibliographic citation information. PanType distinguishes bibliography analysis and metadata handling as standalone and premium services.
